Abstract

In recent years, the developmental issue regarding the role of the SEN teacher has resulted in growing debate between supporters of different points of view, including that championed by the authors of a radical transformation of the support teacher into a veritable co-teacher working next to the curricular teacher and into a tutor expert in inclusive teaching techniques, itinerant through the network of schools. The experimental project presented in the paper, launched in 2012 with the aim of improving the training
and inclusive outcome of the students by experimenting a new model of teaching organization based on the use of SEN hours in a co-teaching mode, has had the main objective of empirically testing this developmental theory.
