In this latest issue of 2012 the theme of the relationship between technologies, teaching and learning is addressed, with a particular look at Interactive Multimedia Boards (IWBs). It opens with an editorial in which Gentile and Pisanu reflect on the integration of technologies in teaching. The presence of technology in learning contexts (school, university, professional training, refresher courses, etc.) does not necessarily imply a direct change in the pedagogical vision and teaching practices. The mere placement of computers, video projectors and IWBs in the classrooms does not mark the definitive achievement of an innovation.
