The transformation of the educational models within the family and the dissemination of the mass media are only some of the factors that have triggered especially significant changes in the way the latest generations of adolescents interpret their relationship with school and with teachers. The era of the Internet and of narcissism demands a new manner of applying adult authoritativeness that takes into account the psychic, affective and relational mechanisms of conduct in young boys and girls born and raised in the new millennium.
