Abstract

Understanding the text in primary school years is a widely debated topic, which at least underlies it two questions: what are the complexities of the narrative text and how can the ability to understand be supported pupils? A recent proposal comes from Logogenia, a method developed in the context of generative linguistics by Bruna Radelli, professor at INAH in Mexico City, and introduced in Italy in the late 1990s. The goal of Logogenia is to offer a selected and compacted input consisting of grammatical information, in order to compensate for the lack of exposure to the spoken language that the child with profound preverbal deafness suffers.
