The paper presents the results of research investigating the teaching and organisational activities of teachers at all levels of schooling, together with their perception of self-efficacy in terms of using digital teaching technology, before and during the lockdown, through the Intrapersonal Technology Integration Scale (ITIS). The research involved 1138 Italian teachers. Analysis of the data highlighted the emergence of a decisive factor, especially for asynchronous activities: teachers have found that collaboration between colleagues is a way of improving their digital skills and activating a virtuous cycle promoting professional skills.
