Abstract
The fight against school dropout represents an important challenge for the education system.
Taking into account the numerous implications of this phenomenon at both an individual and social level, educational institutions are committed to providing support to students in difficulty through numerous extracurricular activities such as music, theatre, sports, creative workshops, robotics, tutoring, psychological support, etc. creating partnerships with families and local communities.
It is important to underline that beyond its numerical representation, dispersion is a complex phenomenon that involves different dimensions of the social life of the minor person and the community in which he lives.
Here we intend to illustrate an example of a multidimensional approach to address school dropout and guarantee the right to education for all: the "Special Educational Pact", a path that involves the school, families, students, the Municipality of Viareggio, the social services, some local associations. It is an agreement that aims to create a support network around the student, guaranteeing personalized and targeted interventions. This is its strong point. As are its flexibility and adaptability, as it is modulated according to the specific needs of each student.
