On 22 and 23 February in Bologna, the international seminar In search of lost meaning. Ideas for a new educational narrative was organized by the ADI, Association of Italian teachers and school managers, in collaboration with INDIRE, Foundation for the School and the Youth Observatory of the Toniolo Institute.
The seminar was opened by the ADI president, Mimma Siniscalco, who introduced the reasons relating to the choice of the theme, explaining how the school, sharing the troubles of society and finding itself facing increasingly complex problems, experiences the feeling of loss of meaning, with the instinct to look back to recover it or at least to recover the dimension of a past in which it was still possible to believe in the future. The seminar was, therefore, designed to open a reflection that allows us to cultivate this hope, starting from the profound motivations that lead to working in schools and for schools, looking towards international realities and towards very concrete and close future scenarios.
