The objective of specialized assistance is to improve the learning and socialization processes of students with disabilities by working on complex autonomies from an inclusive perspective. Evaluating the quality of this service is important to understand and enhance
its contribution to inclusion processes; it is also important to highlight critical issues and problems to be addressed for improvement. The contribution presents and analyzes the results of the project Dare forma all’inclusione. Percorsi autovalutativi per migliorare l’inclusività e la qualità dell’assistenza specialistica nelle scuole secondarie di secondo grado, in which three institutes in Rome
participated during the 2022-2023 school year. The theoretical assumptions of the intervention, the aims and the objectives, the tools, the activities carried out, the feedback received, and the difficulties encountered are described, providing useful inputs for those involved in the planning, organization, and/or provision of the specialized assistance service.
