Abstract

Over time, there have been many regulations aimed at regulating the initial training of secondary school teachers, and the most recent ones have given rise to many critical voices from colleagues involved professionally and scientifically in education and training.
The Inter-University Research Centre CRESPI, which focuses its scientific activity on the issues of teacher professionalism, considers it useful to contribute to the current debate by proposing some food for thought that - starting from the commitments it has made in its Manifesto for Research-Training (Asquini, 2019) - help to understand how to orient the construction and care of teacher professionalism on the basis of the most recent findings in educational research.
