Abstract

This article presents the results of qualitative analysis concerning the possible impact of teacher professional development research carried out over two separate school years with teachers from different high schools in Rome. The results showed that the comprehensive and collaborative approach offered by teacher professional development research represents an innovation for upper secondary schools, where collective projects are limited in comparison with other levels of schooling, and where there is an intrinsic complexity deriving from a highly specialised approach to teaching individual subjects.
