Cinema to think and make people think

Abstract

This contribution is the result of the research and writing work of four film-loving authors. Faced with a large number of filmic works on the subject of war, the authors carried out a substantial, albeit well-considered, screening. Thus, feature films were selected that were considered to be of value both from a cinematographic point of view, more specifically from an aesthetic point of view, and in terms of the possibility of working with viewers from ten to eleven years of age up to high school students. The films have been grouped into five paragraphs, corresponding to as many themes/categories. At the beginning of each paragraph, brief reflections are proposed that can help the teacher or educator to focus his or her intentions from an educational point of view, in relation to the chosen film work(s).
