The International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS), promoted by the IEA, can be traced back to the large-scale research strand dedicated to citizenship education since the 1970s.
First carried out in 2009 and again in 2016, the ICCS aims to survey the ways in which the younger generations are prepared to undertake their role as citizens in democratic societies.
The framework of the third cycle of the survey (2022) just published and accessible online in open access, provides the theoretical-conceptual and operational references of the study.
