The contribution presents the results of the Montessori experimentation monitoring conducted within the IC Riccardo Massa in Milan, the lead school of the network “Montessori-oriented Secondary School” that involved four institutions. A collaborative approach was used, activating reflective discussion among the participants involved: school headmaster, Montessori course referents and teachers. The results of the thematic analysis of the focus groups and semi-structured interviews highlighted the teachers’ teamwork and the relationship between the development of individuality and the promotion of community and sense of group as defining elements of experimentation in the analyzed context.
