Abstract
It is at least since the first industrial revolution that the word "innovation" recurs with considerable frequency in public debate and in historical reconstruction.
In the case of Andreas Scheicher's volume, the discussion on this term specifically involves the world of school, from didactics to teaching / learning processes, from the examination of high-level school systems photographed in an international panorama, to some concrete proposals starting from from which to think, design and implement highly innovative school systems, that is, capable of grasping the educational challenges we face and giving them answers that are up to the level of an increasingly complex and constantly changing socio-economic context, but also stimulating and full of new possibilities and perspectives.
