Abstract

The use of Distance Learning (DL) during the Covid-19 emergency has uncovered criticalities in the participation of students with special needs (SEN). The BESt-DAD project has responded to these criticalities and needs by realizing an online platform aimed to be user friendly and to promote inclusion, designed according neurocognitive characteristics of student with SEN. To the same end, didactic materials were designed and a teacher training program was provided to support teachers in using the BESt-DaD activities. Teachers who took part in the project appreciated the platform’s accessibility as well as the positive washback effect on learner motivation and classroom interactions.
