Flipped classroom: training to teach in a non-transmissive way. The work of the Flipnet Association

Abstract

If, as Don Milani wrote, the problem of the school is the students it loses, 52 years after his death the problem is far from solved. Among the many causes underlying the 22% of school dropouts in Italy, there is the proposal of school paths, as well as pedagogical-didactic approaches, which are not always effective. In this regard, in-service training appears to be the key to promoting the development of an educational quality. Since, in February 2014, a small group of Italian teachers who had embraced the method called flipped classroom, founded their non-profit association which was called Flipnet Aps, numerous web tools have been created to train each other relatively to the most effective didactic innovations.
