Abstract

In the foreign language class, peer revision can help actively involve learners in the process of correcting their written works. Beyond its effectiveness on the quality of the texts produced and the linguistic proficiency of the recipient, peer corrective feedback can have positive effects on the provider as well. This paper focuses in particular on the possibility of promoting metalinguistic reflection, thanks to the need to understand and explain the mistakes identified in the schoolmate’s text.
