Abstract
The emergency caused by the pandemic triggered by Covid-19 has highlighted some profound weaknesses of a structural nature in our education system. The pandemic affected all countries, but had partially different effects
in each of them.
According to available data, for the first time in history, more than one and a half billion girls and boys, girls and boys around the world are experiencing the forced interruption of their school life. In Italy, this interruption affected millions of girls and boys and between girls and boys from nurseries to secondary schools.
But while the pandemic has hit everyone, it hasn't affected everyone equally.
