Abstract

This paper analyses a research-training experience in collaboration with a social cooperative that provides specialized assistance for pupils with disabilities to 30 upper secondary schools in the city of Rome. After describing the objectives of the project and the training strategies adopted, we offer a first assessment of the results obtained and discuss the critical factors for a successful implementation of the project, which entails for the specialized assistants a reflection on their practices. Finally, prospects are outlined for the development and extension of the project in order to fully exploit its potential in generating transformative learning.
