From the "Patto educativo globale" to the encyclical "Fratelli tutti"

Abstract

During the pandemic, in one of the international congresses promoted by the Congregation for Catholic Education, the video message of Pope Francis was broadcast, defined as "A relaunch and a restart". On closer inspection, the text of the papal message takes up some lines already indicated in the two volumes cited in the contribution, which prepared the ground for this invitation to rediscover the extraordinary potential of education. An invitation that, at the same time, revealed itself as a stringent and demanding appeal to a boundless commitment and an alliance between all subjects in the name of the primacy of the person.
