Abstract

The closure of schools and the shift to emergency remote education has been one of the main strategies for containing the Covid-19 pandemic. The objective of this paper is to understand the experience of teachers working in the province of Trento based on the data collected in Italy by the Italian Educational Research Society. The results of the mixed-method research, while detecting remarkable similarities between the local and national experience, highlight both the need for further in-depth analyses to bring out the characteristics of specific contexts, and the importance of using such data to activate training and research paths aimed at developing the professional identity of teachers.
