The contribution intends to give an account of a good musical practice, carried out at the lower secondary school of the IC "G. Leopardi" of Messina, for the purpose of a concrete inclusion of students with disabilities. Starting from the actualization of previous professional and self-training experiences, the teachers have implemented a series of educational and didactic interventions, through the practice of a musical instrument with a certain playful inclination, creating a sort of solo piece, with a narrative voice, for solo piano, entitled The elephant and its shadow.
